William Frederick “Bill” Storey
of Chelsea, Michigan, age 95, died Thursday, February 15, 2018 in Chelsea, Michigan. He was born December 21, 1922 in Ionia, Michigan, the son of William C. & Lena M. (Knight) Storey. Bill, a retired Marine Corps pilot and WWII veteran, was a devoted husband to Jean, his wife of 71 years. His interest in national and local politics and current events led to many lively discussions with his children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors. His wise counsel was respected and appreciated by many. Bill was also a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was proud of his family’s accomplishments and always showed interest in their lives.

Sandra Suzanne Gasiewski, age 73, of The Villages, Florida, formerly of Chelsea, Michigan, passed away on March 25, 2018, in Leesburg, Florida. She was born on January 18, 1945, in Delray, Michigan, the daughter of Joseph William and Irene Regina (Klein) Griffin. Sandra graduated in 1963 from Trenton High School in Trenton, Michigan, and went on to attend Grand Rapids Community College for Interior Design. Her greatest joys were her family, her home, and her pets. Sandra lived for many years on Clear Lake in Grass Lake, Michigan, where she enjoyed kayaking, boating, and lake life. She took great pride in cooking for her beloved family and friends and making a beautiful and cozy home. After retiring five years ago, Sandra and Norman moved to The Villages, Florida, where she became an active member of The Giving Dolls Club, Shag Dance Club, and also enjoyed golfing and socializing with friends.
Age 77, passed away after a hard fight against a glioblastoma brain tumor, Saturday, March 17, 2018 in Chelsea, Michigan. His kindness and mild demeanor was maintained until the end. 
Wilma (Farley) Picklesimer, a long-time Chelsea resident, went to be with the Lord March 22, 2018 after a short illness. She was born in Loyall, Kentucky, January 6, 1927, the eighth and last child of Nancy (Bingham) and Carter Howard Farley. She attended and was a member of Immanuel Bible Church in Chelsea, Michigan for many years. She won Homemaker of the Year at Chelsea Community Fair in 1990 and 1991. She was a life-time member of and volunteered with Chelsea Community Hospital Auxiliary for several decades in the gift shop and sewing circle. She was a life-time member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 423 and former member of Post 4076. Additionally, she was a home-health aide for Individualized Home Care Services. In 1995, she and her husband, Mitchell Picklesimer, Sr., received the Volunteer of the Year award from Faith in Action, in Chelsea. Wilma volunteered at Chelsea Retirement Community.
