Frank Anthony Cianciolo Sr.

Frank Cianciolo, “Pop”, 78, of Chelsea, Michigan died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Chelsea. He is survived by three sons, Frank (Karie) Jr. of Manchester, Robert of Jackson, David (Janette) of Manchester; six grandchildren, Vincent, Samantha, Victor, Olive, Gino and Julian; two great-grandchildren, Daniel and Ember; sisters Maryann McShane, Peggy (Robert) Foster; brother Tom (Kim) Cianciolo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and sister,  Toni Ann Cianciolo.

Bob Gene Ford

Bob Gene Ford of Chelsea, age 86, passed away peacefully with his family Thursday, June 11, 2020. He was born August 7, 1933, in Caraway, Arkansas, the son of Bill and Kathryn (Staples) Ford.
 
Bob served in the US Army, in Germany, from 1953-1955. He worked at General Motors Hydromatic. Bob did Intarsha (woodworking with different colors of wood). Bob loved growing cacti and watching John Wayne movies. He liked to feed the birds, gardening, and most of all, spending time with his family.
 

Joyce Evon Weir

Age 79, died peacefully Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at her home with her family around her. She was born November 8, 1940 in  Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of John William & Alta “Blanche” (Manor) Andress.
  Joyce was a former member of Chelsea First United Methodist Church and later attended Immanuel Bible Church. Early in her career she worked as a stenographer for the Social Security Administration. Joyce also ran a daycare from the late 70’s to early 2000’s. She loved her cats and donated to the Humane Society and other animal organizations. She and Glenn were members of the Jaycees. She attended the Chelsea Wellness Center for many years and enjoyed going to events at the Senior Center.  Joyce had many collectibles, she also enjoyed a weekly game of Chinese Train with her family.   Joyce loved to travel and take her family with her, spending precious moments with her grandchildren.

Ralph Richard Cook, MD, MPH

Age 81, died peacefully at home of natural causes on Monday, June 8, 2020. He was born February 21, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of George R. & Florence Irene (Armstrong) Cook.  Ralph graduated from Hope College and then served in the U. S.Army from 1962-1964. After the Army, he went on to graduate from the Medical School at Wayne State University. He then completed a Residency at University of Michigan and earned an MPH from the School of Public Health. Ralph later studied Epidemiology at University of North Carolina.  He was employed at Dow Chemical & Dow Corning for 32 years.
 

Norma M. Barker

of Chelsea, Michigan,  age 95, died Saturday, May 30, 2020 at her daughter's home in Grass Lake. She was born July 20, 1924 in Lansing, MI, the daughter of Carl & Edna “Irene” (Struthers) Girven.
   Norma graduated from Shepherd High School. She was a resident of Chelsea since 1956. Norma was a devoted wife and mother, involved in her kid’s lives and she loved seeing their photos. She had a green thumb and loved to garden. Norma enjoyed euchre, scrabble, and doing crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed the social activities at The Pines. Norma followed her beloved Detroit Tigers and watched all of the games.
