Caroline Elizabeth Sarah Schlott

of Chelsea, MI, age 85, died Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born June 10, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of William Lawton & Martha Louise (Schmidt) Connolly.  A graduate of  Mackenzie High School, Caroline  was the reunion chairperson for six years. Caroline worked for 17 years at Michigan Bell Telephone.  She was a member of the Nardin Park United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was very active. Caroline cooked for the Nardiners Senior Citizens group.  Many years ago, she served as President of the United Methodist Retirement Homes Friends, as well as an ex-officio trustee on the United Methodist Retirement Communities Board.

Estelle M. (Seitz) Howell

Of Jackson, formerly of Chelsea, age 97, died Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Allegiance Hospital in Jackson.  She was born February 18, 1918 in Chelsea, Michigan, the daughter of Fred J. and Emma Marie (Visel) Seitz.  Estelle was a member of Saint John's United Church of Christ in Jackson and the Eastern Star of Jackson.  She was a homemaker, gardener, and a great cook.

Paul H. Dunn

Photo of Paul DunnAge 69, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at his home after a five year battle with colon cancer. He was born October 24, 1945 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of Jerome Howard & Lucy Kathern (Steeb) Dunn. Paul retired from the Michigan Department of Transportation after 34 years. After retiring from MDOT, he was a delivery man for Gigi's Flowers. He was an avid stamp and coin collector. Paul was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chelsea where he served as an usher. He was a member of the Lyndon Township Board of Review. Paul was an active member of the Chelsea Senior Center.

Beatrice Victoria Pearsall

Age 94, died Friday, August 14, 2015 at her home. She was born September 8, 1920 in Brentwood, New Hampshire, the fourth daughter of William & Annie Goulden.  Bea graduated from Ann Arbor High School with the class of 1938.  She worked for Montgomery Ward as a switchboard operator, as a medical clerk for Chelsea Community Hospital, and spent many years helping her husband, Fred, with his job as Sylvan Township Treasurer.  Throughout the years she had been active in Cub Scouts.

Donna F. Chambers

of Manchester, formerly of Chelsea, age 71, died Monday, August 10, 2015 at her home with her family. She was born May 26, 1944 in Hudson, Michigan, the daughter of Donald & Florence (Huff) Murphy. Donna graduated from Hudson High School in 1962, and earned her Associates degree from Siena Heights in 1985.  After graduation, she started working for the University of Michigan in 1986, until her retirement in 2009.  Donna was an active member of Sharon United Methodist Church.  She and Dan were very involved in the Ann Arbor Ski Club.  Donna’s hobby was jewelry making, and she derived great joy spending time with her grandchildren and attending their various events.
