Catherine Kwasny

of Saline, MI, formerly of Brooklyn, Farmington, Detroit, and Sicily, age 96, died Sunday, October 15, 2017 at the Evangelical Home - Saline. She was born January 7, 1921 in Highland Park, Michigan, the daughter of Vincenzo & Concetta (diGrande) Trigilio. Catherine grew up in Sicily. She loved gardening and baking. Catherine was a member of St. Joseph Shrine in Brooklyn.

On January 28, 1950, she married Joseph B. Kwasny, and he preceded her in death in 1999. Survivors include a daughter, Christine K. (GarE) Maxton of Ann Arbor; a son, Robert J. Kwasny, two grandchildren, Adriana & Sophia Maxton.She was preceded in death by a son, Eugene D. Kwasny; her siblings, Santo Trigilio and Fiancesca Trigilio.

Dorothea L. "Dot" Diedrich

of Chelsea, age 90, died Thursday, October 12, 2017 at her home. She was born January 19, 1927 in Wayne, Michigan, the daughter of Henry & Kathryn (Branton) Warblow. She graduated from Wayne Memorial High School in 1945. After high school, Dot worked at Kroger where she met her future husband, Jim.  Dot was a member of Faith Lutheran Church since 1964. She raised five children, and returned to the work force at Xerox, where she worked for many years. She enjoyed sewing.

Charlotte Ann Schauer

Charlotte was called to heaven by her Lord on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017. Charlotte was born in Ann Arbor at Doctor Gates' Private Hospital on January 29, 1937, the only child of Albert and Hilda (Dietzel) Sell.  She spent most of her life on the family farm in Northfield Township where she was raised and where she and her husband, Chuck raised their family.  In 1994, she and Chuck moved to Chelsea, where they spent the rest of their lives.  On October 7, 1955, she married Charles Schauer at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Northfield Township.  They were married for 62 years.  Charlotte was a graduate of Ann Arbor High School, the class of 1955.  She worked for the Mariott Corporation before retiring to care for her aged parents.  She and a dear friend cleaned an office building in Ann Arbor for many years.  She belonged to St. John’s Lutheran Church for 57 years until moving to Chelsea. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.  Charlotte enjoyed watching the University of Michigan Hockey and Football teams and was a member of the Dekers Blue Line Club.  She also loved bowling, euchre, sailing on cruise ships, but her greatest joy was being with her grandchildren.

Jeff William Miller

of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of Jackson, age 58, died Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Arbor Hospice Residence in Saline with his loving children at his side. He was born September 4, 1959 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of William H. & Marjorie I. (O'Donnell) Miller.   Jeff was a charming and spirited man, and what he most enjoyed was his kids and grandkids. He graduated from Chelsea High School in 1977. Jeff worked for Urban Auto Sales in Jackson, Aardvark Pest Control, and Walmart in Jackson. He spent the majority of his life in Chelsea and Jackson, and also spent time in Florida. Jeff loved all sports, and was an avid U of M sports fan. He loved hunting and fishing.
