Inez Fouty Bunton

Age 71, died Friday, March 4, 2016 at her home. She was born May 15, 1944 in Chelsea, the daughter of Verl & Pearl Flossie (Skinner) Fouty.

  Inez worked at the Chelsea Methodist Home for several years, then worked for Chelsea Milling (Jiffy Mix), retiring in 2007.  She attended Chelsea High School.  Inez loved all sports, especially NASCAR and Michigan Football.  She enjoyed bingo, slot machines, bowling, and fishing trips up North.  

Richard George Bareis

of Dexter, MI, age 80, died Thursday, February 25, 2016 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti. He was born August 16, 1935 the son of Oscar & Wilda (McVay) Bareis. He was born in Chelsea and raised on the family farm in Lima Township.  Richard taught wood and metal shop and drafting for 35 years, at Dexter High School from 1959 to 1966, and at Beach Middle School in Chelsea from 1966 to 1994. He coached high school wrestling, football, and intramural sports.  Richard was a member and lay leader of Zion Lutheran Church, Chelsea.  He was a 4H leader for Rogers Corners Herdsmen.  Richard farmed and raised sheep for 40 years.  He was an avid carpenter and wood carver.

Flora Madeline Yousey

of Ypsilanti , Michigan, age 91, died Friday, February 19, 2016 in Ypsilanti, Michigan . She was born October 28, 1924 in Bridgeport, AL, the daughter of Horace Hamilton & Wiley Estelle (Mobbs) Bramlett. Flora graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School. She enjoyed golf, gardening and bowling.

Richard A. Jankuski

of Lyndon Twp, Michigan, age 76, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Glacier Hills in Ann Arbor. He was born October 3, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Adam Joseph & Julia Loretta (Strokis) Jankuski. Richard served in the US Marie Corps from 1957-1959, and in the reserves until 1963.  He and Betty moved to Chelsea in 1975, coming from Oak Forest, IL.  He was in sales most of his life, working for Garcia, Tandy/Radio Shack, Outers Laboratories, Snelling & Snelling, and he distributed newspapers for the Ann Arbor News and Chelsea Standard. Richard was the publisher for a wildly accepted fishing newspaper the Illiana News.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and had a passion for fishing.

John "Randy" Young

of Chelsea, age 60, passed away from natural causes on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea. He was born August 12, 1955 in Bowling Green, OH, the son of Donald Raymond & Betty E. (Foust) Young. Randy graduated from Chelsea High School class of 1973, and University of Michigan in 1977 with degrees in Metallurgy and Nuclear Science. After graduation he worked for Sargent & Lundy in Chicago. Randy moved back to Chelsea and worked in Ann Arbor. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Chelsea. Randy liked fishing and sports.
