Erwin George Hochrein Jr.

of Dexter, Michigan, Age 85, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at his home.  He was born April 18, 1930 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of Erwin George & Alma (Kalmbach) Hochrein Sr. Erwin was a Charter Member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Chelsea, where he was active as a trustee and usher, and was also on the kitchen committee and in Silver Streaks.   He was a plumber his whole life, and a member of Local 190. He was a Korean War Veteran who earned a Bronze Star and Purple Heart, and was a member of the American Legion in Dexter.

June Teckla (Aiken) Doletzky

of Dexter June went to be with her Lord May 7, 2015. She was at home with her family at the time of her death. June was born in Iron River, MI on February 24, 1918. She was the sixth of nine children to William and Teckla (Helstrom) Aiken. She moved to the Dexter area in 1937 and worked as a ward helper at the U of M Hospital for two years. She met her husband Earl when he was working in the U.P. with the U of M Forestry School. They married in 1939 and resided on the Dexter Township family farm for the rest of their lives. 

Virginia R. (Burg) Rowe

Virginia RoweAge 93, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Jackson Countryside Care Center, with her children at her side. She was born December 2, 1921 in Chelsea, Michigan, the daughter of  J. Vincent and Mary (Spirnagle) Burg.  Virginia graduated from Chelsea High School in 1939 and married her high school sweetheart Duane Rowe on April 14, 1941 at St. Mary Catholic Church.

Rosemary June Kemmish

   Age 81, died Monday, May 4, 2015 after enjoying a last bowl of ice cream at her home. She was born June 4, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Alexander & Jennie (Harper) Ewen.  Rosemary was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor. On November 27, 1965, she married James V. Kemmish, and he preceded her in death on February 3, 2014.

Jennifer D. Rice

of Grass Lake, MI, age 74, died Monday, April 20, 2015 at home with her family. She was born February 28, 1941 in Livonia, Michigan, the daughter of Joseph D. & Belvidera D. (Walter) Hibbs. Jennifer grew up in Waterloo, and was a graduate of Chelsea High School class of 1959. She was a member of the Chelsea Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Jennifer loved her grandchildren and the Detroit Tigers. She also enjoyed painting, quilting, and bird watching.
