Patricia Suzanne (Steeb) Stierle

of Pentwater, MI formerly of Chelsea, MI, age 86, passed peacefully following a brief illness at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, FL on Monday, January 28, 2019. She was born February 24, 1932 in Ann Arbor, MI, the daughter of Elmer J. & Faith Hope Charity (LaBounty) Steeb.  Pat graduated from Ann Arbor High School in 1949 and married William J. Stierle in Chelsea, MI on February 17th, 1968.  She was a partner and secretary/treasurer at Steeb Dodge Sales in Saline, MI for 36 years.  Pat  was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Chelsea and a member of the Pentwater Yacht Club.  After retirement, Pat and her husband spent many memorable years traveling the world and enjoying life. One of her favorite places was being at her home on Lake Michigan listening to the waves. Her joy for life, sense of humor and love for her family and friends were her greatest gifts.

Glenn Edward "Skip" Scott

of Dexter, MI, age 76, died unexpectedly due to a stroke Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the University of Michigan Hospital. He was born June 12, 1942 in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the son of Gerald & Rose (Bernell) Scott.  Glenn graduated from Willow Run High School in 1960, then served in the army from 1960-63. He was a machine operator for Aco/Pittsfield Products until he retired in 2007. Glenn was a member of the Ann Arbor Eagles Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing horseshoes, and going to gun shows, yard sales and dances.

Thomas Sidney Ritter

Thomas Sidney Ritter of Chelsea, Michigan, age 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 16, 2019. Tom was born in Dowagiac, Michigan on April 7th, 1948 and was the son of the late Sidney Ritter and Leta (Cropsey) Ritter.  Tom was a farm boy from the start and recalled fondly raising live stock, adventures on the farm, and working along side his father. Tom graduated from Penn High School in 1966 and was named the MVP of the baseball team his senior year. Tom’s passion for baseball continued throughout his life and he served as a softball coach for his daughters and the vice-president of the Chelsea High School Softball Boosters. Tom earned his electrical engineering degree from Michigan State University in 1970.

Robert Patrick "Pat" Smith

Age 76, passed away at home in Chelsea on December 27, 2018. Born to Minerva Lorraine Hepburn and Joseph Raymond Smith on May 2, 1942 in Ann Arbor, Pat was the youngest of six children. An independent, proud Irishman, Pat lived life fully and fiercely loved his family and friends. His larger than life smile, bright blue eyes, and sharp sense of humor drew people to him and nurtured unlikely friendships.

Pat enjoyed people and proudly carried mail in Ann Arbor for more than 35 years before retiring from the USPS.  He loved playing golf and relished the time he had in retirement to enjoy golf courses around the country and in Ireland. An avid reader and history buff, Pat delighted in discovering his family's ancestry and loved to watch old movies, especially westerns, and football.

Garry Dean Harris

Age 72, died Saturday, January 12, 2019 at his home. He was born November 28, 1946 in Murphysboro, Illinois, the son of William A. & Betty (Crombar) Harris. Garry was originally from Wayne, MI, and has lived in Lima Township for 29 years. He worked at Huron Valley Steel for 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Marge; two daughters, Michele, & Chris; 3 sisters, Lorie, Beverly, & Sheila; and two grandchildren, Jessica & Roger. He was preceded in death by a brother, Chuck.
