Richard "Dick" Conner

of Grass Lake, MI, age 76, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the VA Hospital, Ann Arbor, Michigan following a long battle with heart disease. He was born July 2, 1940 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of Raymond F. & Alyce (Auten) Conner.
Dick graduated from Milan High School in 1959, and later earned degrees in criminal justice and electronic engineering. He was a Viet Nam veteran, serving with the Air Force. Dick was a Sergeant Detective for the Washtenaw County Sheriff's office. He worked for Chrysler, Chrysler Defense, General Dynamics (working on the Abram tanks), as a test engineer, and was the owner of Perimeter Alarm. He was a member of Chelsea Free Methodist Church. Dick was very active in Veteran recognition. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed golfing, and antique Farmall tractors.
of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of South Lyon, age 95, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born April 27, 1921 in Dundee, Michigan, the daughter of Dorsey & Namah (Haines) Armstrong. 

of Chelsea, Michigan, age 95, died after a brief illness, on Friday, July 15, 2016, in Chelsea, Michigan. She was born August 29, 1920 in Chelsea, Michigan, the daughter of Lewis P. and Elisabeth A. (Schoenith) Vogel. Betty graduated from Chelsea High School in 1938. She attended Michigan State University and University of Michigan, earning a RN Degree. Betty worked in Georgia during WWII, then for U of M Hospital. She stayed home while Jane was young, then went back to work at U of M and volunteered at the United Methodist Home and Chelsea Community Hospital. Betty was active in Chelsea Women's Club and attended Chelsea Congregational Church and St. Paul U.C.C. She was known for her perfectly manicured lawn and beautiful flower gardens.
