Terry Lawrence "TML BSN"

of Grass Lake, Michigan, age 64, died Saturday, October 8, 2016 at his home. He was born August 1, 1952 in Trenton, MI, the son of Delmar A. Lawrence and Marie Therese Van Cooley.  Terry graduated from Chelsea High School in 1970 and Eastern Michigan University in 1992. He worked at U of M as a bone marrow transplant nurse for many years. Terry loved traveling, golfing, working on his property and spending time with his family. The highlight of his year was throwing his large family’s annual Christmas party.

Doris R. Maleski

of Gregory, MI, formerly of Belleville, MI, age 97, died Saturday, October 8, 2016 at home in Gregory, MI. Doris was born September 1, 1919 in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the daughter of George and Helen C. (Fenn) Essex.

She is survived by her loving family, including her daughter, Carol (Arnold) Escher of Unadilla; son-in-law, Thomas Mitchell of Whitmore Lake; grandchildren, Karen (Stephen) Campbell, Kristen Mitchell, Edward Escher, all of Pinckney; great-grandchildren, Jack and Sarah Campbell, Kate and Ellie Ogg.

Mary "Kendall" Kleis

Of Chelsea, Michigan.

Age 74, died on September 26, 2016 at University of Michigan Hospital. She was born February 5, 1942 in Ann Arbor, MI, the daughter of Harold F. and Eleanor M. (O'Keefe) Kleis.  Kendall received her Master's in Education and worked as an Elementary School Teacher before retiring. She was surrounded by many caring and loving friends who will miss her dearly.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, John Kleis.

Dorothy M. Collins

Age 88, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at Legacy Assisted Living. She was born March 21, 1928 in Lyndon Township, Michigan, one of 16 children born to Edwin and Eva M. (Hart) Bauer.

Dorothy resided in the Chelsea area all of her life.  She retired from Applied Dynamics in Ann Arbor in January 1991, and was a member of the Chelsea First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed laughing and being with others, especially family members.  Her hobbies included bowling with her Senior Bowling League, and playing euchre with her family and friends. She loved to exercise at Curves and Anytime Fitness.

Mary "Karen" Knafl

of Chelsea, MI, died Thursday, September 22, 2016 at home peacefully at the age of 78. Karen was born April 16, 1938, a twin daughter to John Barclay Roche and Lucille Helen (Flahrety) Roche. Much of Karen's youth was spent traveling with her family within the United Stated. She graduated from Newton High School in New Jersey before attending Vassar College.
