Ronald Stephen Cubberly

of Brooklyn, Michigan, age 74, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023, in his home with his family at his side. He was born August 28, 1949, in Tecumseh, Michigan, the son of George & Thelma (Bryan) Cubberly.

Ron was a Chelsea High School graduate, class of ‘67. He served in the US Navy in Viet Nam, serving from 1968 - 1971, as a Boiler Operator on a Destroyer Tender. Ron then worked for General Motors for 35 years, in Ypsilanti, in Hydramatic and Powertrain. Ron was a member of the Moose Lodge in Brooklyn, and a former member of the Eagles Club #2154 in Ann Arbor.

Anthony F. Wisniewski

Of Chelsea, age 89, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the Chelsea Retirement Community. He was born April 18, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Valentine William “Bill” and Charlotte Rose (Chojna) Wisniewski.

Maria P. Lashbrook

of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of Detroit. age 75, died Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Ascension Providence Hospital in Novi. She was born June 27, 1948, in Sheffield, England, the daughter of Kazimierz and Rita (Dumford) Koszalka.

Maria attended Chadsey High School in Detroit, Michigan where she spent most of her life. She worked as a guest services representative at Marriott. When she was in her fifties, she returned to school to earn her associates degree, something that she always had a lot of pride in. Maria’s true life calling however, was her family. Maria loved her family intensely and adored her seven grandchildren who she enjoyed attending various activities with. Whether it be sports, dance, gymnastics, or even just helping getting them to their activities, she did so with a lot of intent and enthusiasm. Maria was also an avid Detroit Tigers baseball fan and would watch games as regularly as she could.

Gordon Cole

Of Adrian, age 43, died Monday, November 27, 2023 at Hospice of Lenawee. He was born March 15, 1980 in Ypsilanti, Michigan, he was the son of Walter Bradley and Vickie Lou (Joseph) Cole.

Gordon attended alternative high school in Chelsea. He was really good at lawn care and snow removal. Gordon loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time camping with his family, hunting and fishing. He adored people and was the kind of person that would do anything for you. Gordon also enjoyed roller skating and dancing.
