Richard Allen Seyfried

Jackson, Michigan, formerly of Chelsea, age 85, died Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Legacy Assisted Living in Jackson. He was born February 2, 1931 in South Lyon, Michigan, the son of John & Diana (Budreau) Seyfried.  Richard enjoyed the outdoors: fishing, hunting, camping, cutting wood, and going up North to “Fletcher’s Floodwater”.  He was a US Army Veteran. Richard was a plumber with Local 190.

On June 8, 1957, he married Norma Ann Sell at St. Thomas in Ann Arbor, and she survives. Other survivors include four sons, Mark (Alice), Mike (Cher), David (Kim), John (Connie); and a daughter, Peggy (Steve) Fullerton.

Adaline M. Stone

of Chelsea, MI, age 96, died Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born March 11, 1920 in Chelsea, Michigan, the daughter of George & Amanda (Schweikert) Scripter.

Adaline worked at Federal Screw. On Oct. 14, 1950, she married Edward “Earl” Stone, and he preceded her in death on July 27, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Levi, and her sisters, Ethel and Minnie.

Bertha Mae (Harrod) Booker

of Saline, MI, age 84, died Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Arbor Hospice Residence in Ann Arbor. She was born June 10, 1932 in Fort Loramie, Ohio, the daughter of Kora G. and Lula (Baucher) Harrod.  Mrs. Booker graduated from Ft. Loramie High School, Defiance College, and Eastern Michigan University. She taught elementary school 25 years in Ohio, Maine, and Michigan. Since 1977, she was involved in women's work of the United Church of Christ, and honored as Woman of the Year in 1987. She belonged to Washtenaw Area Retired  School Personal and served with her husband, Rev. Booker, in many churches. Bertha was very active with the Evangelical Homes Boards.

Marie Evelyn Petsch

of Chelsea, Michigan, age 75, died Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor after a long illness. She was born February 5, 1941 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of Costas & Betty (Liskay) Cavadas.

  Marie was a stay-at-home mom. She was a founding member and past president of Chelsea Historical Society. Marie attended Chelsea Assembly of God. She loved being artistic, drawing many Christmas and greeting cards. Marie enjoyed dancing, and cooking in the Greek tradition. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
