Michael John Hannan

of Pinckney, Michigan, formerly of Ann Arbor, age 69, died Wednesday, April 19, 2023. He was born August 17, 1953, in Ann Arbor, the son of John Dennis and Ertis Ann (Allen) Hannan.

Michael graduated from Pioneer High School in 1971, and then attended Cleary College. He worked for Hoover Ball Bearing and then the University of Michigan Hospital. Michael was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor. He loved to play guitar, and enjoyed muscle cars and motorcycles.

Daniel R. Maroney

We lovingly remember our dad and grandpa, Daniel R. Maroney, who died peacefully at Grace Village Retirement Community on Saturday, April 15, 2023.

Dan was born to Paul and Roxie Maroney on March 5, 1932 in Ann Arbor, MI. He lived in and around Chelsea, MI most of his early years until January 1966, when he moved to Ohio, then later to Columbia City, IN. He liked talking about Chelsea, as it was the home of Jiffy Mix and actor Jeff Daniels, whose family he knew.  

In 1950, Dan began attending Olivet College, Olivet, MI.  Dan always loved music and while there, he played trombone in the Jackson Civic Orchestra.  He transferred to Michigan State his third year, and from that point on was a die-hard “Go Green” fan.  He took the train to attend the 1954 MSU-UCLA Rose Bowl Game – noted as one of the largest mass movements of people at one time. Unbeknownst to him, his future wife, Patricia Bowman, attended the same game on that same train.

Donald Behling

 

Age 81, died Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Walnut Ridge Adult Foster Care. He was born July 3, 1941 in Albion, Michigan, the son of Harold William & Eunice Maude (Barrett) Behling and pre-deceased by sister Janet E. Behling.
 
Donald had an extensive movie collection and was a lover of all animals, especially his pet guinea pigs and rabbits.  He was a Member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Albion.
 
Survivors include a sister, Carol Crawford (sister) and Jack Crawford of Mt. Dora, FL; a niece, Karen Crawford of Lansing, Michigan; a nephew, Kenneth Crawford, of Orlando, Florida; and a cousin, Frederick Fuller of Yale, Michigan.
 

Jeffrey Grainger

January 31, 1945 to February 20, 2023
 
Jeff Grainger aged 78 of Tucson, Arizona, passed away suddenly on February 20, 2023, in San Diego, California. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents Harry & Kay Grainger; and his dear niece, Georgina Gorman (Bowden).
 
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pat; his much loved daughters, Maria (John) and Katy (Mike); his 2 grandchildren, Linc and Creo of whom he was so very proud; brother, Martin Grainger; and sister, Sue Bowden.
 
Jeff loved being a parent and liked nothing better than an evening playing with his girls, especially those long summer evenings. He probably complained more than the girls when bedtime was announced. Before bed, though, were the many World War II re-enactments in the bathtub, complete with boats and planes and lots of water on the floor.

Wendella "Wendy" F. Ten Eyck

age 96, of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, died Monday, April 3, 2023 at the Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born April 23, 1926, in Bangor, Maine, the daughter of Wendell and Margaret (Young) Fernald.

Wendy was an RN for Standard Oil in Venezuela where she met her husband William “Bill”. Wendy and Bill loved to travel and went all over the world. She was an avid Bridge player and played in 3 leagues. Wendy was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church in Birmingham.
