Gertrude A. Fehr

of Manchester, Michigan, age 92, died Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at home in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She was born October 5, 1923 in Manchester, Michigan, the daughter of Clarence H. and Martha (Marshall) Huesman. Gertrude was a hard working dairy farmers' wife who helped out in the field and did farm chores. She loved animals and loved to take care of them. She was honored with her husband as Farmer of the Week from WPAG of Ann Arbor. She was a member of the Washtenaw Farm Bureau and Sharon United Methodist Church.

Irene C. Bodine

of Chelsea, Michigan Formerly of Veedersburg, IN, Sioux Falls, SD, Marshall, IL,  Wooster, OH, Lakeville, MN, Park Ridge, IL and Mariemont, OH, age 91, passed away peacefully, after a short illness, surrounded by her family, Friday, January 29, 2016 at Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born November 6, 1924 in Veedersburg, Indiana, the daughter of Vernis & Mary Rowena (Finch) Clore.  Irene was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great -grandchildren. Irene was an animal lover. She enjoyed watching tennis, especially Wimbledon. Irene enjoyed pheasant hunting and playing cards.

Shirley Ann Scott

of Chelsea, Michigan, age 79, died Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born May 11, 1936 in Battle Creek, Michigan , the daughter of Walter A. & Marguerite L. (LeBari) Scott. Shirley was an avid sports fan, and loved to watch them on TV. She had a few favorites in particular, the Detroit Tigers, University of Michigan for both football and basketball, and the Kentucky Wildcats for basketball. She loved animals, dogs and cats,  especially twin tabby cats, Arthur and Barney. Shirley loved to walk around town, stopping in stores on main street, buying her lotto tickets, and going to the park.

Margaret Mastie

of Lexington, Kentucky, age 91, died Thursday, January 21, 2016 at her daughter's home. She was born May 4, 1924 in Creelsboro, Kentucky, the daughter of Richard & Edna Betsy (Buster) Keeton.  Margaret was a member of Jamestown Christian Church in KY. She worked at Cumberland Craft Coop. in Jamestown, KY and at Busters Food Mart and Quarry Drugs both in Ann Arbor. She married Hoover Baldwin, and he preceded her in death. She later married Frank Mastie and he preceded her in death.  Survivors include a son, Richard O. (Molly) Baldwin of Hayden, ID; two daughters, Bobbie (Jerry) Fraker of Apex, NC, Teresa (Charles) McKinley of Lexington, KY; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Rev. King W. Hanna

Of Manchester, Michigan, age 76, died Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the University of Michigan Hospital. He was born October 6, 1939 in Detroit, the son of John G. & Dorothea May (Flood) Hanna.

King graduated from Chelsea High School in 1957, and Eastern Michigan University in 1966. He graduated from Methodist Theological School in Ohio in 1970, and was ordained a United Methodist minister.  King served as pastor at many churches, starting as a student pastor at Wellsville UMC, then as an ordained pastor at Westside UMC in Ann Arbor, Grace and Skandia UMC in Marquette, Mitchell UMC in Negaumee, and Marble Memorial UMC in Milan.  He retired in 2003, and served as interim pastor at several churches. King served on the Institutional Review Board for Marquette General Hospital and Trinity Health System. King was a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary for over 40 years.  He spent his life helping people and could talk to anyone.
