of Chelsea, Michigan, age 96, died Friday, November 25, 2016 at Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born October 4, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Clarence and Clara (Brien) Decker. On November 27, 1943 she married Charles Van Beylen, and he preceded her in death on December 18, 1988. Survivors include a son Robert (the late Bonnie) VanBeylen; a daughter, Sandra (William) Kwolek, two grandchildren, Daniel (Emily) Kwolek, Aaron Kwolek; a great-grandson Oscar; a brother Gerald (Donna) Decker; and many nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, November 30, 11:00 am at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Manchester, with Rev. Fr. Bosco Padamattummal as celebrant. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan. The family would appreciate Masses said for Dorothy, or contributions to Capuchin Soup Kitchen, 1820 Mount Elliott St, Detroit, MI 48207. Arrangements by Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea.
