As her daughter-in-law , Gloria openly welcomed me into the family. I, at once, felt her warmth & love for her family. She was devoted to her grandkids who brought her so much joy. She married her high school sweetheart, Tom. Their marriage was a true love story—one built on years of commitment, shared memories, & the everyday work of choosing each other. She knew how to enjoy life. She loved cruises, the casino, the lake, & cooking (we miss her lasagna!). Her health in later years took many of those things away from her but not her passion for them. One of my favorite memories with Gloria is a canoe trip we took many years ago. It was one of those perfect days: floating down the river laughing & taking it all in. That’s how I will remember her, creating togetherness in simple, beautiful ways. A day on the water, family & friends gathered. We will miss Gloria deeply. We’re grateful for the life she lived, the love she gave. Rest in peace, Gloria. We will carry you with us, always.
