of Michigan Center, Michigan, age 57 passed away May 5th, 2024, at his home in Michigan Center. He was born May 20, 1966, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of Richard Allen Sr. and Marjorie Louise (Harrison) Green.Richard went to Michigan Center high school. He first started in the plastics industry at Autoform and later went to DT manufacturing whereas the Thermoforming manager he grew the thermoforming department into a top tier automotive supplier.
Richard met his love Donette Slone at Donette’s dad’s funeral. On January 27, 1994, Richard married Donette Green (Slone) in Jackson, Michigan.
When not at work he enjoyed bowling, camping, or doing his well-known hobby of working on “stuff”. Also known by many names such as building, tinkering, or puttering about. This was always in the form of fixing things for others, building a new bookshelf for his wife, or working on a house project.
Richard is survived by his wife Donette Green (Slone). Other survivors include his mother, Marjorie Green of Jackson; two sons, Michael Green (Michaela) of Kalamazoo, and Richard Bourigoin of Utah; two daughters, Carrie Luna of Jonesville, Sarah Davison (Scott) of Jackson; two brothers Marty Green of Washington, MO, and George Carvely of Jackson; 11 grandchildren, Addison, Alex, Carter, Alizabeth, Emmett, Jack, Natalee, Elliyana, Eloise, Emmery, and Caitlynn; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Richard Green Sr.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Jeruel Baptist Church, 11400 Plum Orchard Rd., Munith, MI 49259, with Pastor Josh W. Swieringa officiating, and a reception to follow. The family will greet friends before the service from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. A private burial will be held at Oak Grove East Cemetery in Chelsea. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
