of Dexter, Michigan, age 91, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023, at his home. He was born August 25, 1932, in Chelsea, Michigan, the son of Norman Martin and Frances Lucille (Mangus) Wacker, Sr. Norm attended Whitmore Lake High School and was drafted into the US Army when he was 19, serving in Germany. He worked as a Machinist for Payne Products in Ann Arbor, and then retired from Federal Screw Works after many years. Norm liked to work on the farm raising horses, pigs, steer, chickens, and some row crops.

On January 3, 1953, Norm married Barbara J. Wright in Salem, Michigan, and she survives. He is also survived by his sons, Laurence M. (Cindy) Wacker of Dexter, and Thomas E. (Terri) Wacker of Grass Lake and Lake Placid, Florida; sisters, Audrey Hardesty of Whitmore Lake, and Dorothy Hibbard of Howell; four grandchildren, Aaron Wacker, Tim (Jessi) Wacker, Jared (Leslie) Wacker, and Shevaun Wacker; three great-grandchildren, Colin Wacker, Libby Wacker, and Bo Wacker; and eight nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private viewing was held at Cole Funeral Chapel, followed by burial at Oak Grove East Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion or the National FFA Organization.

Norm was the greatest, I have a lot of memories at FSW
Norm was one of the best employees i ever had.

I so enjoyed knowing the Wackers. Barb always said he was the best husband in the world. I admired how they would go hand in hand through the Chelsea Fair.
