Age 75, of Dexter passed away after a valiant fight against pancreatic cancer with his family by his side on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. He was born September 15, 1947 to Sylvester Edwin Yager and Marilynn Esther (Hamilton) Yager in Midland, Michigan.

Larry graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1970. He immediately began his first career as a police officer at EMU. After a few years he moved to Chelsea where he was a police officer until 1977. He then began his second career as an engineer at General Motors for 31 years. Upon retirement he upped his golf game by playing in several golf leagues. Spending time with his family, golf and his dogs were always his favorite things. He is also survived by his son Colin (Laurie) of Gaylord, his daughter, Kelly of Dexter, his brother Randy (Kathy), sister-in-law Mary and several nephews, nieces and cousins. I only know Larry through golf. He accepted me from day one. I’m not the easiest to golf with, he never had a criticism. Larry was a strong man! No golf trip will be the same without him.
