Robert Andes

 of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of Plymouth, MI, age 94, died Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Chelsea Retirement Community. He was born October 4, 1924, in Chenoa, Illinois, the son of Russell & Ruth Mildred (Tinges) Andes.

Robert graduated from Pontiac IL High School in 1942, and served with the US Army Air Corp during WWII. Robert worked for GM until his retirement in 1980.  He was a member of the American Legion and the Masons. Robert and his family attended the United Methodist Church in Plymouth. He was passionate about fine woodworking, and built several beautiful homes. Robert loved to travel, and had been to all 50 states.

Lola Campbell

Lola Campbell, born May 24, 1942, died peacefully on September 19, surrounded by family and friends.  She will be greatly missed by her family whom she loved unconditionally. Lola enjoyed spending time with family, laughing over a good joke, and watching baseball. 

Lola was predeceased by her parents John and Lorraine; husband Jimmie, special friend Frank, brothers Wally and Bob, and sister Midge.  Survivors include daughters Laurie and Deb, son-in-laws Bill and Kirk, grandchildren Courtney and Kevin, sister Fran, brother Dick, and many nieces and nephews. 

Phyllis Marie Muncer

of Chelsea, Michigan, age 74, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born October 14, 1944 in Virginia, Minnesota, the daughter of Owen Charles Ash and Bernice Marie Vivian (Anderson) Norlander. She and her brother Jeff were raised by their mother until she married John Norlander in 1963 and acquired two more brothers John and Michael Norlander. She spent her youth in Virginia, Minnesota and summers on Lake Vermilion until graduating high school in 1962. She also attended Virginia Junior College. Later she moved to Minneapolis to become a flight attendant with North Central Airlines in the early 1960’s. She married and had two children, Kristen and Anna. The family moved to Chelsea in 1973. During the time her children were of school age Phyllis was involved in a variety of school and community activities. In 1986 Phyllis went back to the airlines to reclaim her love for travel until her retirement from Delta Airlines in 2006.

Gail Ann Lang

of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of Livonia, Omena, age 83, died Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born October 1, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Donald & Dorothy (Crippen) Clark. 

Gail earned her Bachelors Degree from MSU.  She was a member of Northport Covenant Church, and was active in the Livonia Historical Society and the Omena Historical Society.

Kay Marie Gleason

of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of Shelby Township, age 77, died Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born May 3, 1942 in Ishpeming, Michigan, the daughter of Ero & Ellen (Strom) Luostari.
   Kay graduated from Ishpeming High School, and then earned her Bachelor's degree from Oakland University.  She was primarily a homemaker who enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.  She was active in Flight 255 Memorial Activities after her husband's death.
