David Charles Pratt

David Charles Pratt, 98, passed away from natural causes on November 6, 2023, at the Chelsea Retirement Community, in Chelsea, Michigan. David was born on December 17, 1924, in Washington, D.C. to Ray and Frieda Pratt.

David attended school in Washington, D.C., until he was drafted into the Army Air Corps in 1941 where he served his country until the end of WWII. Taking advantage of the special training and special skills set that David developed in the Army Air Corps, he moved to Alaska in 1977 to participate in and to work on the engineering marvel of the times---the Alaska Pipeline. He relocated in 2017 to Chelsea, Michigan to be close to his family.

Sharon Diane (Drew) Clow

Age 58, died Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Chelsea Hospital ICU. She was born August 24, 1965 in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Jack A. & Lois “Lillian” (Dirksen) Drew. In June of 2002, she married Leland “Lee” Clow, and he preceded her in death on March 11, 2020.

Sharon graduated from Eastern High School in Lansing in 1983. At the age of 40, she started attending Washtenaw Community College and earned her RN. She worked at U of M for over 20 years, and although she worked in several departments, she was most proud of her work in the Urology Cancer Center. Sharon enjoyed nature and gardening, and will be remembered for her pickling and the sauces and powders she made. She was “naughty” and told many dirty jokes. She loved animals, especially her cats and dogs. Sharon had a generous nature, supporting many causes and caring for animals, both wild and domesticated.

Katherine Marie (Cobb) Quinn

of Chelsea, MI, age 66, died Monday, October 30, 2023, at home. She was born January 21, 1957, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of Cecil Edward and Nelly Maree (Atkinson) Cobb.

Kathy graduated from Chelsea high school in 1976. She worked at Chelsea Hospital for 43 years. During that time she worked as a pharmacy tech, and as a surgery coordinator at the Woman’s Health Center. Katherine really enjoyed camping, traveling, and U of M football.

Lawrence R. “Larry” Hochstadt, Jr.

of Chelsea, Michigan, age 73, died Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Michigan Medicine. He was born November 24, 1949, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the son of Lawrence R. and Barbara (Wilson) Hochstadt, Sr.

Larry was a Polio survivor, and one of the first children to receive the “new” Salk vaccine. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and had recently begun rock hunting.

Larry was married to Elizabeth McCormick for 52 years, and she survives. He is also survived by his sister, Lorraine (Patrick) Pickering; his special friend, Paul Reed; and his cats, Buster and Buddy “Fluffy Butt.”
