Lora Joyce Clayton
of Howell, MI, age 81, died Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Howell, Michigan. She was born December 19, 1933 in Harlan County, Kentucky, the daughter of Robert & Nora (Anderson) Barton. Lora attended the Baptist Church. She married Charles Clayton, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons, James (Kim) Szegi, of Highland, MI, Richard “Karl” (Trisha) Szegi, of Jacksonville, FL; her daughter, Nancy Jo (Dennis) Irish of Chelsea; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Jerry and Johnny Barton.

ge 94, died Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Ganton’s Countryside Care Center. He was born January 6, 1921 in Lyndon Township, Michigan, the son of Floyd D. & Selma M. Rowe.Duane spent his working life as a farmer, well driller, and Master Plumber. He had a study group for the Masters exam at his kitchen table in 1959 with two other local plumbers, Mr. Herman and Mr. Robert Shears. Duane was a past Grand Knight of the Chelsea Knights of Columbus Council 3092. 
of Ann Arbor, Michigan, age 74, died unexpectedly on Friday, October 30, 2015. She was born March 4, 1941 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of Awbery & Ruth Elizabeth (Mattison) Whitfield.
of Chelsea, MI, formerly of Punta Gorda, FL & Ypsilanti, MI, age 95, died Friday, October 23, 2015 at Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born July 9, 1920 in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the daughter of Paul & Nellie (Casselberry) Chapman. Gladys graduated from Ypsilanti High School in 1939, and then attended beauty school. She worked in Ypsilanti and worked at the Blue Wig in Ann Arbor for many years. Gladys and Rod built a home on Belleville Lake and had many friends there. In 1980, Gladys and Rod retired to Punta Gorda, Florida, where they enjoyed boating and fishing. Gladys loved to cook for her family and friends. She was a very active member of the Peace River Sail and Power Squadron in Punta Gorda. They left many friends when hurricane Charlie destroyed their home and sent them back to Michigan in 2004. Gladys was very close to her family who helped her through good and bad times.
