of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of Ann Arbor, age 75, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the University of Michigan Hospital. He was born July 24, 1943 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of Gustave A. & Arlene Flossie (Schumaker) Maschke.  Darell graduated from Pioneer High School.  He retired from General Motors Hydra-matic Plant in Ypsilanti, where he had worked as a millwright. He also worked for Walmart as a sales associate. Darell loved golfing, hunting, and spending time at his lake house with friends and family.

He is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Lewandowski of Dexter; his sons, Brent Maschke of Lexington, KY, Rodney Maschke of Fort Worth, TX, Clifford Maschke of Brighton; two sisters, Jan Carpenter and Robin Reynolds; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Kay Bedard, and Cheryl Hale.

The family will receive friends at Cole Funeral Chapel on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 5-9  pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 20450 Civic Center Dr,
Southfield,, MI 48076.

We were so sorry to hear of Darrell ‘s passing. Colleen, I know you two had many years together and he will be missed. He always made the best pudding and scalloped potatoes. You two had some fun times!
