Of Chelsea, Michigan, age 97, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born June 9, 1926 in Muskegon, MI, the daughter of Morris and Mary Ella (Seymour) Wolcott. Betty retired from 3M in Ann Arbor. She liked coloring, puzzles, and solitaire.
In 1948, she married Eldon Carl Jones, and he preceded her in death on February 25, 1990. Survivors include two sons, Carl L. (Susie) Jones of Dexter and Dana M. Jones of Dexter; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Danny A. Ruthenburg and Eldon S. Jones.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11:00 am at Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1-3 and 5-7pm. A private burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Waterloo, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
