William Samuel McCalla, 93, passed away on December 6, 2016. He was a life-long farmer who raised purebred livestock and crops on the south side of Ann Arbor. His family established Broadview Farms, which has been an iconic landmark.
On Jan. 21, 1949, Bill married Jean A. Guy in Ann Arbor. They were married for 51 years before her death on Nov. 30, 2000.

of Ann Arbor, MI, age 64, died Monday, December 5, 2016 at the University of Michigan Hospital. He was born April 8, 1952, the son of John W. & Alisa Etsweiler II.
Jack attended Culver Military Academy. He graduated from the University of Michigan, where he was in the Rowing Club. Jack worked as a secretary at Eastern Michigan University. He participated in the UMS Choral Union.
of Dexter, Michigan. Patti passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Kresge K1 Unit of the Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born September 22, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Edward and Lucille (Holda) Laski. She graduated from Saint Thomas High School Ann Arbor in 1963 and worked as an office manager/receptionist for various private medical and dental practices in the area, as well as Saint Joseph Hospital. Patti attended Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Dexter, and the Cathedral Basilica in Saint Augustine, Florida, where she served proudly as a Eucharistic Minister. She loved to travel and walk the beaches of Northeast Florida.
of Chelsea, MI, age 95, died Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Arbor Hospice in Ann Arbor. She was born May 18, 1921 in Redford, Michigan, the daughter of John F. & Elizabeth (Scheunemann) Bakhaus. Frances worked 20 years full-time as a bookkeeper and was a Secretary to the Superintendent at Chelsea School District. She was a member of Rogers' Corners Study Group since 1953, and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Chelsea since 1954.
of Chelsea, Michigan, age 96, died Friday, November 25, 2016 at Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born October 4, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Clarence and Clara (Brien) Decker. On November 27, 1943 she married Charles Van Beylen, and he preceded her in death on December 18, 1988. Survivors include a son Robert (the late Bonnie) VanBeylen; a daughter, Sandra (William) Kwolek, two grandchildren, Daniel (Emily) Kwolek, Aaron Kwolek; a great-grandson Oscar; a brother Gerald (Donna) Decker; and many nieces and nephews.
