Marilyn Joyce Mark

of Chelsea, MI, age 81, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at  her home. She was born July 12, 1936 in Cameron, Illinois, the daughter of William Albert and Anna Linnea (Johnson) Hawkins Sr. Marilyn has resided in Washtenaw County since 1957.  She was the owner and operator of Marilyn Mark's Hair Stylists in Ann Arbor from 1958 up until her death. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Muskegon.

Wendy Jean Davis

of Boise, Idaho, age 52, died Thursday, January 11, 2018 at home in Boise, Idaho . She was born March 5, 1965 in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Donald LeRoy & Marcia Marie (Himmelein) Davis, Jr.. Wendy graduated from Stockbridge High School in 1985.  She served in the US Army for 8 years.  Wendy enjoyed nature walks, spending time at the lake, and spending time with her niece & nephews.

Survivors include her father, Donald of Gregory;  a brother, John (Michelle) Davis of Chelsea; a sister, Jamie Lewis of CA; niece, Madyson Davis; Nephews, Jacob Raymond, Dakota Lewis and John Davis J.  She was preceded in death by her mother in 2008 and nephew, Bradley Birchfield in 2015.

Richard Kenneth Hartman

of Jackson, age 90, took his last breath Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice in Jackson. He was born January 14, 1927 in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the son of Cornelius Clifton & Marian Emily (Wakefield) Sr.. Richard served in the Army in Japan during World War II. He retired from the Ann Arbor Fire Department in 1983 after 25 years of service. Richard was an avid square dancer and danced for Disney in Florida. He was a member of the Kissimmee Square Dancing Club, and a field director for the National Camping and Hiking Association. Richard was a member of Brookside Methodist Church in Jackson where he served as a Trustee. He enjoyed woodworking and built his own grandfather clock. Richard loved playing cards and didn’t know how to pass when it came to euchre.

Rev. George A. Luciani

Rev. George A. Luciani passed away peacefully after a long illness on January 10, 2018 at his home in the Chelsea Retirement Community with his wife and family at his side.  George was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan on July 18th 1935.  As a teenager he answered God’s call to the ministry.  After his high school graduation, he attended Vennard College in University Park, Iowa.  It was there he met, and then on May 29th 1956, married Carolyn Bowlin from Natchez, Mississippi. They made their home in Ewen, Michigan where George was appointed by the Detroit Conference of the United Methodist Church to serve the Ewen Charge which was made up of four churches, in addition to Ewen it included Bergland, Kenton and Sidnaw.  While there he also graduated from Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin.
