Margaret Emma Rink

of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of Royal Oak and Howell, age 98, died Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at Chelsea Community Hospital. She was born February 10, 1922, in Detroit, the daughter of J. Wesley and Alice J. (Bryan) Dennis.  Margaret graduated from Central High School in Detroit in Jan 1940. She worked in accounting with Bell Telephone for 2 years. She then studied Social Studies at Adrian College, where she met Donald. She later earned her Master's Degree in Guidance Counseling from MSU. She taught at Utica School District and later Howell School District where she retired in 1985. Margaret attended Chelsea United Methodist Church.  

John Edward Laraway

of Grass Lake, MI, age 91, died Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at Countryside Manor in Jackson. He was born April 5, 1929 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of Dwight H. & Ida Mae (Thurston) Laraway.  John was raised on a farm in Dexter, but lived in Chelsea most of his life. John was the 3rd oldest of 9 boys. He served in the US Army in Korea during the Korean War. He retired from Ford Motor Company in Saline. John loved snowmobiling and going to his cabin in Harrison.

Richard Bruce Bailey

Age 85, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 in Ann Arbor. He was born January 5, 1935 in Alpena, Michigan.

He is the beloved husband of Eleanor and the loving father of Sheryl Cyr of South Lyon, Laura Giuffrida of Ann Arbor, Jeffrey Bailey of Culpeper, Virginia; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The Lord is our shepherd.

Gerard M. Likavec

Gerard M Likavec, age 61, died unexpectedly on June 9, 2020 at Englewood Community Hospital in Florida. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Gerry graduated from Chelsea high school and Eastern Michigan University. He found great reward in working as a special education teacher but was enjoying the pleasures of retirement: golfing, gardening, cooking and socializing with friends. In addition to appreciating the good life vis-à-vis wine, women and song, Gerry loved pets and conversations about life and politics. All those that knew him described him as a “good person” and “loyal friend”.
