of Chelsea, Michigan, age 91, died unexpectedly Friday, August 17, 2018 at his home. He was born March 27, 1927 in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the son of Clarence Carl & Ethel (Schock) Bauer. Howard lived in Chelsea for 30 years, coming from Ypsilanti. He retired from Ford Motor Company in Ypsilanti. Howard was a Boy Scout leader in Troop 754 of Belleville. He was a long-time member of Tri-County Sportsman's Club in Saline. Howard loved to visit with everyone he saw.
Survivors include a special cousin, Linda (Craig) Sayers, and their son Brian of Chelsea; his sister, Alice Dickerson of NE; his sister-in-law LaDonna Bauer of Ann Arbor; many nieces and nephews, Jackie, David, Tom, Jill Ann, Donna, Diane, Karen, John, and Kay. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gaylord and Norman; and special cousin Margaret Bauer.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 21, 11:00 am at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with Pastor Keith Worrell officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Saline. The family will receive friends Monday 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
