Sandra GasiewskiSandra Suzanne Gasiewski, age 73, of The Villages, Florida, formerly of Chelsea, Michigan, passed away on March 25, 2018, in Leesburg, Florida. She was born on January 18, 1945, in Delray, Michigan, the daughter of Joseph William and Irene Regina (Klein) Griffin.  Sandra graduated in 1963 from Trenton High School in Trenton, Michigan, and went on to attend Grand Rapids Community College for Interior Design. Her greatest joys were her family, her home, and her pets. Sandra lived for many years on Clear Lake in Grass Lake, Michigan, where she enjoyed kayaking, boating, and lake life. She took great pride in cooking for her beloved family and friends and making a beautiful and cozy home. After retiring five years ago, Sandra and Norman moved to The Villages, Florida, where she became an active member of The Giving Dolls Club, Shag Dance Club, and also enjoyed golfing and socializing with friends.

She is survived by her husband, Norman J. Gasiewski, of The Villages, Florida, her daughter Jamie (Brian) Tucker of Chelsea, Michigan, her three sisters Cori (Gene) Burrell, of Trenton, Michigan, Janet Griffin, of Lincoln Park, Michigan, and Lisa (Zip) Lucidi, of Prescott, Arizona. She is also survived by her grandchildren Stephanie (Bryan) Neville-Cannon, of Marietta, Georgia, Joshua, Claire, and Kendall Tucker, of Chelsea, Michigan, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Neville, and her brother, Jeffrey Griffin.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 31, 2018, from 1-5 pm and Monday April 2, from 10-11 am at Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea, Michigan. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 2, at 11:00 am at Cole Funeral Chapel with Rabbi David Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Michigan Memorial Cemetery, Flat Rock, Michigan.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Cole Funeral Chapel.
