Aram "David" Walker

Of Chelsea, Michigan, age 76, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 23, 2022 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born October 12, 1946 in Ann Arbor, Michigan , the son of Aram S. & Emma “Ann” (Kent) Walker Schindler Vaughn.


David fondly grew up at his grandmother, Wanda (Alva) Walker’s home with his aunt Carol on the corner of Golfside and Washtenaw in a beautiful brick home where he and Debbie were married. He graduated from Pioneer High School in 1964. He joined the Army, serving at Cameron Bay in Vietnam. David began working for Michigan Bell as a telephone splicer technician in December of 1966. He proudly worked for them for 38 years, and then worked at Pamida in Chelsea until the store closed. He was a member of the American Legion. David enjoyed hunting, camping, working on outdoor projects, and spending time with his family. He was very involved with his children’s activities, running the fun fairs at South Elementary School, and joining all of his children’s field trips. He loved building floats for his children for the annual Chelsea parades. David loved kids, and helped his wife, Debbie with her in-home daycare. He had a kind, loving heart, always willing to help out in any way. He never let his children feel like they were going without, and loved to spoil his grandchildren. He and Debbie welcomed everyone with open arms.

Lloyd Hafner

of Munith, MI, formerly of Chelsea, age 71, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at his home. He was born June 4, 1951 in Jackson, Michigan, the son of Charles “Bud” and Elaine J. (Ferry) Hafner.  Lloyd graduated from Chelsea High School in 1969. He served in Boy Scouts for 63 years. Lloyd was in Cub Scout Pack 55 and earned his Eagle Scout in 1968, with Boy Scout Troop 476. He was the Scoutmaster for Troop 465. With Troop 425, he was the Advancement Chairman and was on the District Advancement Committee for Eagle Scout. In Troop 425, he had helped 72 boys attain the rank of Eagle Scout. Lloyd was also the Committee Chairman of Cub Scout Pack 768 of Stockbridge. He received the District Award of Merit, and in 2010, he earned the Silver Beaver. Lloyd was a vigil member of the Order of the Arrow, and attended Philmont Scout Ranch with Troop 476. He retired from Polly's Country Market as receiving clerk. Lloyd was an avid fan of Michigan football and Detroit sports.

Pamela Lucett Williams

Of Chelsea, Michigan, age 70, passed away peacefully at her home from cancer on Saturday, December 10, 2022. She was born November 5, 1952, in Huntington, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Ira Findley & Mary Ruth (Perdue) Graham.

Pam had a love of sewing, quilting, and nature. She loved the birds at her feeders and got a big kick out of any animal she saw. She was a keen observer of their behavior and often found the humor in them. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Chelsea. She will be remembered for her kindness, love, and example of compassion. We will miss her but are comforted to know she is with our Heavenly Father.

Larry Allen Yager

Age 75, of Dexter passed away after a valiant fight against pancreatic cancer with his family by his side on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. He was born September 15, 1947 to Sylvester Edwin Yager and Marilynn Esther (Hamilton) Yager in Midland, Michigan.

Larry graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1970. He immediately began his first career as a police officer at EMU. After a few years he moved to Chelsea where he was a police officer until 1977. He then began his second career as an engineer at General Motors for 31 years. Upon retirement he upped his golf game by playing in several golf leagues. Spending time with his family, golf and his dogs were always his favorite things. There were days when he said he preferred dogs to people! He always had a dog by his side.

Mary (Berridge) Frisinger

Of Chelsea, MI, formerly of Ann Arbor, age 56, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022 at her home. She was born August 25, 1966 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of W. Lloyd & Jeanne (Heckel) Berridge, Jr. Mary grew up in Ann Arbor, graduated from Pioneer High School in 1984, and then attended Eastern Michigan University. She was a resident of the North Lake community for over 20 years. Mary spent her career as a loan officer in the Ann Arbor area. Ballet was an important part of her life. She began taking ballet classes at Pamela Rutlege's School of Dance at 5 years old until her early 20s. She resumed classes with her beloved teacher in 2008 and danced in numerous recitals. Mary was active in the community as an affiliate member of Ann Arbor Board of Realtors, a member of the Inverness Country Club, Caerusnet, and other groups in the Ann Arbor area. She was also an avid Michigan football fan. Mary was known for her kindness, hospitality, and sense of humor.
