Our Staff

All of our staff is eager to help you in any way we can. We are a family-owned business, so we do not have to report to stockholders or worry about other locations. We are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to meet your needs.

 

Allen Cole is the owner of Cole Funeral Chapel, and is a licensed funeral director that has worked with his father full-time since 1991. He is married with three children, is active in Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, and is a member of the Free Methodist Church.

Wendy Cole is Allen’s wife and the co-owner, and is the office manager for the funeral home.

 

 

Donald Cole is a licensed funeral director who managed the funeral home from 1977 - 1999 . He is married, and is a member of Kiwanis and enjoys old cars. Although retired, he helps Allen and Wendy when needed.

Linda Cole is Don’s wife, and works on funerals, visitations, and helps out in many ways. She is a volunteer at the Chelsea Community Hospital.

 

 

 

Chuck Schauer is a funeral assistant who has been with the funeral home for over 15 years. He is a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and enjoys bowling at Chelsea Lanes. He is also active with Chelsea Senior Citizens.


 

 

LeAnn Seto is in charge of following up after services are performed.  She is here to lend a listening ear to those in need and can refer them to support, as well as recommend books from our grief library.  LeAnn is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Chelsea.

 

 

Susan Humeston is an office assistant in charge of bookkeeping.

Tim Ehnis is a funeral assistant, he lives in Chelsea with his wife Judy and is a member of North Sharon Baptist Church.

 

 

Geoffrey McComb is a funeral and office assistant.  He is the director of Children's Ministry at Parma Baptist Church near Jackson.  Geoffrey is currently a college student working on his accounting degree.

 

 

Katie Verstraete is a licensed funeral director who has recently joined our staff. Katie was born and raised in East China, Michigan. She graduated from Wayne State University in 2011 with a Bachelors in Mortuary Science. When not working Katie enjoys staying active serving as the Chapter Adviser of Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority at Wayne State University. She also enjoys crafts and spending time with her dog, York "Pepper"-mint Patty.
