Noah David S. van Reesema

Noah David Siewertsz van Reesema– accomplished student and athlete, curious reader and traveler, loving family member and trusted friend, passed away to the next life on April 20, 2024. Noah was born on December 8, 1997, in Northville, Michigan. From an early age, Noah loved spending time with his extended family “up north” at the lake cottage skiing in the winter, boating in the summer, and relaxing with his books in the evening or playing strategy board games with his family. He especially cherished making new friends at the YMCA Storer Summer Camp in Jackson. As he grew, he was able to ski out west and travel with his family throughout Europe. His early love for soccer turned to football and track in high school. Noah graduated from Chelsea High School in 2016. He made deep friendships competing as a teammate in sports, playing football as a wide receiver and running in track specializing in 300-meter hurdles, both letting him experience State finals competitions with his friends. Noah also played saxophone in high school and participated in “Company C,” a singing and dance ensemble, as well as finding peace in playing the piano at home. Noah was a life-long member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Chelsea, MI where he was baptized and confirmed.

Richard Allen Green Jr.

 of Michigan Center, Michigan, age 57 passed away May 5th, 2024, at his home in Michigan Center. He was born May 20, 1966, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of Richard Allen Sr. and Marjorie Louise (Harrison) Green.
 
Richard went to Michigan Center high school. He first started in the plastics industry at Autoform and later went to DT manufacturing whereas the Thermoforming manager he grew the thermoforming department into a top tier automotive supplier.
 
Richard met his love Donette Slone at Donette’s dad’s funeral. On January 27, 1994, Richard married Donette Green (Slone) in Jackson, Michigan.

Thomas Laski

Of Pinckney, age 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 3, 2024 at his home. He is survived by his two sisters, Diana (Gary) Wesley of Chelsea, and Susan Laski of Dexter; two brothers, Edward (Sharon) Laski Jr. of Dexter, and Mark Laski of Dexter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lucille, and sister Patricia Fox. 

Mary Ann Whitford

of Jackson, MI, formerly of Gladwin, age 86, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 4, 2024, peacefully with her family at her side at Legacy Assisted Living in Jackson. She was born September 5, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Joseph & Marguerite (Zummo) Agrusa.

Mary graduated in 1954 from Nativity of Our Lord High School in Detroit. She did bookkeeping for Lee Wholesale Supply in New Hudson, MI. Mary attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin, MI. She was active with the Lion's Club, White Cane Society, and pro-life activities. Mary taught Catechism for many years. She enjoyed golfing, cross stitch, and making stained glass. Mary was a very giving person.

Sally M. Proctor

Of Chelsea, Michigan, age 86, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at her home. She was born February 9, 1938, in Chelsea, Michigan, the daughter of Robert A. & Jeannette E. (Corbiel) Wheeler.

Sally graduated from Dexter High School in 1956, and attended Cleary College. She worked for the Chelsea School District, starting as a bus driver, then as a secretary at North Elementary School, and eventually as Transportation Supervisor. Sally was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chelsea. She enjoyed sports and spent a lot of time attending Chelsea sporting events. She also enjoyed cooking, and golfing at Inverness.
