Kathleen Elizabeth Glaser of Grass Lake, Michigan, formerly of Dexter, age 75, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 15, 2026, with family by her side. She was born May 15, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Theodore and Charlotte (Pawlak) Truszkowski.
Kathy grew up in Detroit where she met her husband and the love of her life, Edward (Ed) and started a family. Kathy was a highly skilled seamstress. Kathy focused those skills on custom draperies and home decor and owned Window Trends in Pinckney until she retired in 2002. Kathy most enjoyed spending time with her family, including going on family trips, motorcycle riding with her husband (and friends), bowling and watching her grandchild grow. Kathy also enjoyed spending time at the Grass Lake Senior Center and volunteering at the Humane Society. Family was everything to her. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren more than life itself.
Kathleen married Edward Glaser II on November 27, 1968, in Detroit. He preceded her in death on December 4, 2022. Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Michelle (Anthony) Cianciarulo of Woodstock, Illinois, and Rebecca Glaser of Chicago, Illinois; son, Edward (Cheryl) Glaser III of Fowlerville; sisters, Sandy Van Brienen of Harper Woods, and Patricia Pierse of Warren; and grandchildren, Genna and Nick.
A memorial and graveside service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 11:00am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Huron Valley or the Grass Lake Senior Center.
