Sally, age 87, passed away peacefully on January 27,2024 in Clermont, FL, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June, 20 1936, in Detroit, MI, graduate of Wayne Memorial High School class of 1954, former resident of Wayne, MI, Chelsea, MI, and Ellsworth, MI before retiring permanently to Clermont, FL.
A beloved spouse, parent, grandparent, great grandparent, and friend, Sally was known for her love of antique collecting, quilting, reading, bowling, and golfing. Sally loved volunteering for her local historical societies, and at First Congregational Church of Chelsea. She touched the lives of many with her friendship and generosity and left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who were privileged to share in her journey.
Sally is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 67 years James Nicola, four children Kim Nicola of Clermont, Fl; Janet (Randy) Rosentreter of Chelsea, MI; David (Lisa) Nicola of Wellington, FL; and Sara (David) Schwartz of Brighton, MI. Loving Mimi to 9 grandchildren, Scott Fouty, Lauren Rider, Joel Rosentreter, Kevin Rosentreter, Tim Rosentreter, Anton Nicola, Morgan Nicola, Brenna Schwartz, and Kendal Schwartz. Ten great grandchildren and a community of friends who will cherish the memories created together.
There will be no services at this time, a celebration of life will take place in the future. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Mike Conley, Hospice House of Clermont, Fl; The Good Samaritan in Ellsworth, MI; or First Congregational Church of Chelsea, Mi in memory of Sara “Sally” Nicola.
