Obituaries

of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of Scio Township, Dexter, and Holmdel, New Jersey, age 97, died Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the Chelsea Retirement Community. He was born October 5, 1926, in Lenora, Kansas, the son of Charles August and Margaret Ethel (Everetts) Fultz.

Kenneth graduated from Atchins County Community High School in 1943, then the Kansas State University, where he earned his Electrical Engineering Degree. He went on to receive his Master's Degree from Kansas State University. Kenneth was an Electrical Engineer with ATT Bell Laboratories for 42 years (1952-1994). He was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Kenneth served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 - 1946. He enjoyed reading, playing chess with Audrey, tinkering around his home, and loved working in the yard and landscaping.

Kenneth married Audrey Constance Wheeler on October 3, 1953. She preceded him in death on June 17, 2022. He is survived by his son, Douglas W. Fultz (Susan K. Wagner) of Lisbon, Wisconsin; daughter, Nancy H. Fultz of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Paul, Andrew, Stacy, Rachel, Amanda; 9 great-grandchildren, Brennan, Brenda, Michael, Adrianna, Justice, Kayleigh, Kiersten, Emily, and Eric; and brother, Charles “Warren” Fultz of Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his brother, Elbert Fultz.

Burial will be at Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel, New Jersey. Memorial contributions may be made to the UMRC-Porter Hills Foundation in support of the Team Member Support Services East Fund, 805 W. Middle St., Chelsea, MI 48118.
