Frank Cianciolo, “Pop”, 78, of Chelsea, Michigan died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Chelsea. He is survived by three sons, Frank (Karie) Jr. of Manchester, Robert of Jackson, David (Janette) of Manchester; six grandchildren, Vincent, Samantha, Victor, Olive, Gino and Julian; two great-grandchildren, Daniel and Ember; sisters Maryann McShane, Peggy (Robert) Foster; brother Tom (Kim) Cianciolo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and sister,  Toni Ann Cianciolo.

Frank was born May 18, 1942 in Detroit, the oldest son of Anthony Frank & Esther (Hankins) Cianciolo. He was known to most as a cabinet maker / wood-worker. He created and repaired all manner of hand made furniture and wooden items. He owned his own wood-working business for the past 35 years.  Frank started out as a truck driver. Fiercely independent, he bought his own truck and found his own work. He eventually owned and ran a fleet of fuel trucks, which he sold to buy a lazy little furniture refinishing shop. This is where his love for wood and wood-work began. He longed for a simpler and more natural life. He loved his woods and cursed those who disrespected their own property and nature.

A private memorial service will be held for the family.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.  Arrangements were entrusted to Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea.
