of Chelsea, Michigan, age 91, died Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in his home. He was born July 21, 1927 in Howell, Michigan, the son of Herbert & Hazel (Stewart) Geer.

Glen attended Howell High School. He was a WWII veteran, serving with the Army Medics. Glen worked at Hackney Hardware in Dexter for many years. He was a member of the Grass Lake VFW Post 10194, and was a member of St. Andrews United Church of Christ in Dexter. Glen was a long-time square dance caller in the area. He was an avid Euchre player, and loved to bowl.

On November 14, 1998, he married Betty Silverthorn Kline, and she survives. He is also survived by his children, Diana (Roger) Wallace, Glendon F. Geer Jr., Michael J. (Cyndi) Geer, Robin M. Vontom; his step-daughters, Kathy Kline, Jan (Tom) Lee, Cheryl Allward, Susan (Brendan) Leonard; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marion Sulkowski-Geer; his brothers, Wayne, Melborn, and Victor; his sister, Doretha Parham, and a granddaughter.    

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 27, 11:00 am at St. Andrews UCC, Dexter, with Rev. Kendall Brown officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Dexter. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Cole Funeral Chapel, and from 10-11 am at the church Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Arbor Hospice or the family.
