age 56, passed away suddenly Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital .  He was born October 3, 1960 in Jackson, Michigan, the son of James R. & Beverly (Burmis) Brown. Jim lived in Chelsea most of his life and attended Chelsea High School. He worked at Pilot Industries in Dexter, then Pilot, known as Mantenrae, in Manchester. Jim also worked at William 145  truck stop in Jackson with his dad. Jim enjoyed drag racing and working on cars. He was liked and loved by everyone who he came in contact with.

Survivors include his mother, Beverly Farley of Munith; a daughter, Amanda Brown of Somerset; a sister, Cindy Brown of Chelsea; a brother, Jim Brown of Jackson; a step-brother, Brian Farley of Grass Lake; two step-sisters, Anita (Bryan) Herter of Chelsea, Felicia Couchman of Chelsea; nephews, Mike Smith. Eric Ross, Jimmy Cole Jr.; nieces, Susan (Marcus) Smith, Kayla and Rebecca Brown, Ashleigh Ross, Amanda (Brandon) Hall, Heather Rodema; great-nieces and nephews, Michelle, Mike, Josh, Lilly, Victoria, James; Aunts, Carol (Leo) McCaum, and Rosemary Brown. He was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Brown; sister, Lori Jean Brown; step-father, Norm Farley; and grandparents, Hattie Jackson Brown, Andy Brown Sr., Phillip Burmis, Lillian Burmis.

A family memorial service was already held. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery in Sylvan Township.

Very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I waited on him at Andy's Pizza for many years. Always ordered the same thing...chili & french fries. He was one of my favorite customers. Super nice guy. RIP Jim.
