Age 59, of Dexter, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord early Saturday, January 15, 2022. He was born December 25, 1962, to Benjamin & Sharon (Hugger) Cook.

Harold, a proud American, served in the Marines from 1981-1984. During this time period, he enjoyed being stationed in Okinawa, Japan.

In 1987, Harold married Peggy Lee Lovely. The two settled into their family home in Dexter in 1990, and then in 1992, became the proud parents of Kandice. With Peggy, the love of his life by his side, Harold peacefully passed away. He had just shy of 35 years with his "girl next door".

Harold was always striving for the next goal, giving his all for each new business adventure. He was a true entrepreneur and an avid gardener. Harold's greatest adventure and joy was being the World's Best "Boppa" to his grandson, Benjamin.

Harold is survived by his wife, Peggy Cook; his daughter, Kandice (Nick) Cook; his grandson, Benjamin Cook; his mother, Sharon Cook; two sisters, Sherry (John "Wes" Kane) Cook, Terry "TC-" Cook; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and great friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Arthur Cook; his paternal grandparents, George and Goldie Cook; and his maternal grandparents, Norbert and Inez Hugger.

Honoring Harold's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, June 25, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Dexter American Legion Post 557, 8225 Dexter-Chelsea Rd., Dexter, MI 48130. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for Harold’s grandson, Benjamin. Arrangements were entrusted to Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea.

I enjoyed some time with Harold and
Peggy this past August, in the comfort
of George's garage. We shared some
memories of decades passed, which
included Sonny. I could feel how warmly
the mention of Sonny's name was
received.
So will be Harold's.
Sharing your sadness,
Dennis Beson in Pensacola
