of Plymouth, MI, age 91, died Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at his home. He was born October 1, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Hubert Charles and Bonny (Barnes) Lewelling.

Bill graduated from Michigan State Normal College (Eastern Michigan University) with a degree in business administration. He served in the United States Navy and Army during the Korean War. Bill worked in various management roles at Ford Motor Company retiring in June of 1990, after 42 years. He loved playing golf.

Bill was married to Orlean Baker Lewelling for 31 years and she survives. He is also survived by his children, Kathleen (Steven) Walsh of Houston, TX, John (Brenda) Lewelling of Sunset, SC, Robert (Kristin) Lewelling of Clarkston; his step-children, Gary Baker of Ft. Myers, FL, Beverly (Paul) Bogoslaw of Portage, Gordon (Debra) Baker of Plymouth, Geoff (Janine) Baker of Northville; 9 grandchildren, Kimberly (Davey) Jones of Minneapolis, MN, Kristen Lewelling of Ft. Worth, TX, Carolyn Lewelling of Minneapolis, MN, Kane Lewelling of Clarkston, Jacob Lewelling also of Clarkston, Will Walsh of Houston, TX; 3 step-grandchildren, Brett (Kristen) Baker of Plymouth; Erika (Nick) Leone of Plymouth; Mark Baker of South Lyon; and two step-great-grandchildren, Logan Leone and Lucas Leone of Plymouth. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Mae (Presnal) Lewelling.

Memorial services will be private. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth. Memorial contributions may be made to Seedling Braille Books for Children, PO Box 51924, Livonia, MI 48151. Arrangements were entrusted to Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea.

A considerate gentleman with a great sense of humor and strong family ties. Loved all sports but had a passion for golf.
He will be missed.
