of Chelsea, MI, age 86, went home to be with the Lord, and his beloved Billie, the love of his life of 54 years, on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 in Jackson, Michigan. He was born January 2, 1930 in Chelsea, the son of John Christian & Esther Emma (Page) Schneider. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He retired from Chrysler Proving Grounds. Bob was active in church works most of his life, and considered passing out tracts his ministry. Now he’s singing in heaven’s choir with his beautiful tenor voice.
On August 7, 1954, he married Billie Mae McAtee at North Sharon Bible Church, Grass Lake and she preceded him in death on January 29, 2009. Survivors include one son, Robert K. (Melody) Schneider Jr. of Brooklyn; two daughters, Robin Marie Schneider of Jackson, Renee Ann (Larry) Geer of Jackson; one brother, Donald (Shirley) Schneider of Chelsea; 10 grandchildren, Joseph, Joshua, Amanda, Elizabeth, James, Jonathan, Katelyn, Andrew, Timothy, Thomas; and three great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Hayden, Grayson. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Christian John, a sister, Marlene Keezer; and his parents.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 16, 11:00 am at Faith Baptist Church, Chelsea, with Pastor M. Adam Summers officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Chelsea.
