Our Kentucky Wonder, Betty (Wireman) Howard, age 91, of Bradenton, FL passed away May 19, 2016 after living a life where every minute counted. Betty was born on July 6, 1924 in Magoffin County, KY, the daughter of George and Pokie (Hale) Wireman. On September 4, 1945 Betty married her one and only, Wiley Howard who preceded her in death December 14, 1985. Employed for 37 years at the Chelsea Methodist Home, Chelsea, MI, Betty was highly valued as an employee and friend. She loved first and foremost her family. She enjoyed and excelled at cooking, growing flowers, vegetables and friends.

We will be forever grateful to have been so fortunate to have her as our Mom and will treasure the memories only she could have created. Betty leaves behind her children Ron and Karolen Howard, Shirley (Wes) Stinehelfer, Roger Howard, daughter in law Paula Howard, 11 Grandchildren and 18 Great-Grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brothers Paul (Carol) and Ballard Wireman, and sisters Easter Taylor and Lucille (Jeff) Justice. Along with her husband Wiley, she was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, a brother, her son Richard and grandson Nathan. A graveside memorial will be held on October 1, at 11:30 am at Maple Grove Cemetery in Sylvan Township. As a remembrance of this extraordinary woman please plant a flower for someone you love.
