of Dexter, MI, age 58, died Thursday, March 17, 2016. He was born January 29, 1958 in Garden City, Michigan, the son of Paul Eugene & Vera Maxine (Smith) Chubb.
Art was very intelligent, and invented several things for the company he worked for. He liked the country life, riding his Harley Davidsons, and driving his classic cars. Art was a very generous person and a friend to everyone. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren.
On May 17, 1980, he married Bonita Ann McClure at St. Alfred's in Taylor, Michigan, and she survives. He is also survived by two sons, Arthur II “Artie” (Amanda) Chubb of Dexter, Bryan Chubb (fiancee Katie Eggers) of Romulus; a daughter, Dana Rae (Jefrey) Barnhardt of Dexter; three brothers, Richard (Gladyth), Ronald (Linda), William (Reeta); a sister, Judy Ward; sister-in-law Rozanne Chubb; many nieces and nephews; and he was Papa to Haylee, Ashlee, Arthur III, Kenneth, Brielle, Bryan II, and Jaxton. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Norman.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, March 22, Noon, at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with Rev. Jeff Ford officiating. The family received friends Tuesday from 10 am until the service.
