of Grass Lake, MI, age 93, died Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at her home. She was born April 29, 1922 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Lawrence & Rose (Rowell) Navarre. Noreen graduated from Brighton High School. She worked at Monsanto for a while and owned Noreen's Fabric in Trenton, MI. She was an avid sportswoman, winning Michigan State Trap Championship in 1974, and the Michigan State Bow Championship in 1978. She was an avid golfer. Noreen was an active member of the Bethel United Church of Christ in Manchester.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Keith Schuelke; three daughters, Darlene (Dixon) Powers, Yvonne (Tom) Neilson, Denise (Charles) Bryant; three step-children, Sue-Ann (Kirk Drews) Schuelke, Danny (Beverly) Schuelke, Robert (Diane) Schuelke; a sister, Marian (Harold) Fitch; a sister-in-law, Jeannette Navarre; two grandsons, Eric, Jeff; five step-grandsons, Michael (Jackie), Matt, Adam, Stephen, Derrick; three step-great grandsons, Max, Zackery, Alex; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Gerald Navarre, a sister, Marian Fitch, and a step-son, David Schuelke.
A memorial service was held Saturday, January 16, 11:00 am at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with Rev. David Bucholtz officiating. The family received friends Saturday 10:00-11:00 am.
