Obituaries

of Chelsea, Michigan, Age 92, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at his home. He was born November 23, 1923 in Lake Odessa, MI, the son of Hazen and Estella Edna (Rayment) Figg.  Cameron was a draftsman, working for several architectural firms in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, and Detroit.  He was a member of the Covenant Church in Chelsea, and Chelsea Senior Citizens. He volunteered many hours at Chelsea Community Hospital, and was a Life Member of the auxilary. Cameron served in the US Marines during WWII, and was a disabled veteran.

On August 31, 1946, he married Earlyne H. Krapf in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and she survives. Cameron is survived by nieces Kay (Tom) Carlson of Walled Lake, Susette (Mark) Freeman of Idaho, and Deborah (Tom) Jenks of Chicago; a nephew, William (Vickie) Figg of Dexter.  He was preceded in death by a son, Steven D. Figg; a daughter, Cynthia L. Figg Foster Knepper; his parents; brothers, Hazen Figg, Dean Figg, and Dennard Figg; and sisters Annette Figg and Catherine Balogh.

A memorial service will be held Monday, Dec. 28, 11:00 am at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with Pastor Anthony Dickerson officiating.   Memorial contributions may be made to Chelsea Senior Citizens or the charity of your choice.
