of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of E. Jordan, Michigan, age 86, died Thursday, November 19, 2015 at her daughter's home in Chelsea. She was born February 28, 1929 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Roy & Raechel (Frick) Scott. Margaret attended Boyne City High School with the class of 1946. She worked as a bookkeeper, and later in RV sales. Margaret belonged to the Presbyterian Church, and was baptized in Boyne City. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodge in Pinckney. Margaret loved cooking, doing crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble, and was an avid reader.
On October 13, 1955 she married Donald Lee Olson in Petoskey, and he preceded her in death on March 14, 2014. Survivors include a daughter, Lynn Olson of Chelsea; a son, Jim (Karen) Wicker of Hamburg; son-in-law and daughter-in-law Doug and Phyllis “Jeannie” Sumner of East Jordan; 9 grandchildren, James, Kenneth, Jeffrey, Mindy, Jenna, Sheri, Kimberly, Jon and Krista; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Eric Olson, and a daughter, Marjean Laws. A memorial service will be held in the spring on the Jordan River.
