of Rockwall, TX, formerly of Warren, MI, age 81, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Autumn Leaves of Rockwall. “Burt” Snover was born October 11, 1933 in Royal Oak, Michigan, the son of William & Harriett (Maule) Snover. Burt worked in Real Estate, renting and remodeling multiple homes in the Detroit area. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1953-1958, earning the rank of Sergeant. Burt was an avid archer, hunter, and fisherman and dearly loved his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
On Nov. 22, 1958, he married Arlene Mae Kriss in Detroit, Michigan, and she preceded him in death on July 21, 2009. Survivors include his daughter, Tamra (Rev. Jeffery) Ford of Chelsea, MI; his son, Burt Snover of Dallas, TX; 4 grandchildren, Burt & Daniel Snover, Kristen & Jacob Ford; two sisters, Patricia Terbrueggen and Jacqueline Scholl; two brothers, Donald and William Snover; and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Carpenter and Wilma Snover; and two brothers, Lyle and Earl Snover.
Funeral services was held Monday, August 24, 11:00 am at Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea, Michigan, with Rev. Bruce Rhodes officiating. Burial will be at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Clinton Township, Michigan. The family received friends at the funeral home Sunday from noon until 3:00 pm.
